The Great Maryport Rescue Duck Race

Maryport Rescue are to Host their first ‘Duck Race’, which will see 1000 yellow ducks be released into the towns River Ellen, who will then race towards the harbour.
The spectacular race can be observed from throughout the foot path leading from the Blue Bridge on Irish Street, running down stream and around the back of the Wave Centre.
The finish line will be the Shipping Brow Bridge, where the team will be on hand to collect the ducks and crown the winner of the 2019 event,
The race is a fundraising event for the rescue service.
