Last night while Crosby Coffee Morning were on a station visit some of the crew and trainees launched the ERB and a raft to run some training.
Training involved paddling the raft, access to different features with the raft, man over board, capsize and recovery.
With the ERB our Emergency Rescue Boat for floodwater, inland water rivers and shore operations we carried out access up the river Ellen in low water conditions with the engine and then paddling the boat. This gave the trainee crews the chance to paddle the boat in Low water conditions.
We then went out of the harbour and the trainee crew went though boat handling familiarisation. All ending with man overboards and a beach recovery
Well done all involved it was a good nights training
